Employees
We offer individual clients strong support, coupled with cutting-edge
expertise in employment rights and discrimination law, aiming to
find the best resolution for the individual as swiftly as possible.
The Employment Department guides its individual clients carefully
through their options, providing an early overview of all litigation
and settlement possibilities.
Cases
If litigation is the only or best solution we can deal with the
entire litigation process from drafting the necessary pleadings
through to representation at an employment tribunal.
The Employment team at Webster Dixon LLP has been involved in both high
profile and high value cases, including the Court of Appeal Case, Aziz
-v- Embassy of the Republic of Yemen. The team acted on behalf of Julia
Smith, the Metropolitan Police Authority’s Head of Race and Diversity,
in the successful settlement of her claims against her former employer. Shah
Qureshi and Jo Bragg are currently advising the claimants in Khuram, Ben-Hassine & Ors
v Birmingham University & Ors, a High Court case involving alleged race
and religious discrimination in the administration of a student election.
The Employment team frequently takes on cases against ‘blue chip’ employers
including City institutions, international corporations, major banks, media companies,
law firms, premium airlines, educational institutions, international retailers
and public bodies.
