Webster Dixon’s Commercial Litigation Department advises on a wide range of contentious business and commercial matters. The work of the department includes:
We aim to achieve our clients’ objectives as effectively and efficiently as possible. Our approach is to work as closely as possible with our clients to gain a detailed understanding of the issues facing their business. We aim to become our client’s legal department and to operate with thorough awareness and with minimal disruption to the core functions of their business.
The approach required to achieve our clients’ objectives varies from one case to another. For example, in debt recovery matters we offer a streamlined approach to maximise business revenue at a minimum cost. In all other matters, our approach is tailored to meet the needs of the particular circumstances, and we have the expertise and experience to deal with highly complex litigation.
In line with the ethos of the whole firm, our team provides an innovative and commercial perspective in assisting our clients’ businesses in dealing effectively with any dispute.
The clients we serve in this field vary from sole traders to multinational companies. Our cases have included the defending of a claim in excess of £100 million relating to an outbreak of a fire and destruction of a retail distribution unit; acting on behalf of a UK-registered bank in the successful recovery of a multimillion pound secured loan; and the successful strike out of an application for enforcement of a multimillion pound debt in the UK against a Ghanaian building consultant.
